Dell Technologies allows our customers to use Augmented Reality to assist in replacing parts. The Dell AR Assistant give customers the flexibility to choose how their system hardware issue gets resolved. The AR Assistant is an application customers are able to download directly to their smart phone for an assisted self-service experience.
The Assistant walks customers through the parts replacement process using a smart phone. After working with our Technical Support team, customers will receive information on how to download the app to their smartphone (available on both iOS and Google play stores). After launching the application, simply choose the system model and the part that needs to be replaced. The app does not require customers to log in and does not store any personal information.
The AR Assistant is available for Optiplex, Vostro & Inspiron desktops in all three form factors – Mini Tower, Small Form Factor & Micro.
The AR Assistant is available for XPS 9550, 9560, 9570; Precision 5510, 5520, 5530; & Alienware 17R5, 17R4, 15R3 laptops and workstations.
The AR Assistant is available for PowerEdge R730XD and PowerEdge R740XD servers. Step by step procedures to replace parts.
