Following months of research and insight gathering, the iNX was conceived as a concept. Many “ride alongs” on the ambulance were conducted to understand first hand what really goes on at the back of that fast moving vehicle with the lights on. EMTs and medics from all four quadrants of the country were interviewed and studied to arrive at a design criteria that would best address their pain points in regards to patient care. The indepth, iterative and collaborative design process began with all key stakeholders – end users; medics, EMTs, emergency center personnel, dispatch, fire fighters, ambulance companies, EMS officers and of course the manufacturer Ferno.

After 18 months, 100s of scketches, dozens of mockups and demos – the iNX patient transport system was born. It has won numerous global and domestic awards. There is nothing like it in the industry. Truly a paradigm shift.
