Kaalo is on another business transformation mission, this time with Forbes Technosys in the self-service automation industry. Forbes kiosks serve a wide range of industry, including banking, insurance, retail, ticketing and information. Kaalo is redesigning the entire portfolio, including hardware, software and brand.

This project highlights a product designed for the Insurance industry. After a thorough investigation of the landscape and user requirements, we designed this kiosk to reduce footprint, reduce cost and enhance user experience.

The ‘self service industry’ is very conservative in regards to cost and margins. The appetite to invest in design is very low with the common misunderstanding that design is a natural added cost. Forbes Technosys is a company with a smart leadership team. They trusted design to be their competitive advantage and they are seeing it pay off. As their partner, Kaalo has delivered high quality user experiences in the Insurance sector as well. A rigorous design process was conducted to arrive at solutions that are tailor made for Chola (FTL’s client). This page showcases some of the concepts that were considered before locking on the final design.

User interface design both physical and digital was our biggest accomplishment. Simple, easy to use and intuitive, this kiosk offered quick and accurate transactions.
